Houston Light, Power, and Ice - Frank A. Peters was an inspector for the Houston Light and Power Company from 1897 to 1906. In 1906, he moved to Humble and established the Humble Light and Water Company.
This building burned down in 1907, but was later rebuilt. Another fire in April 1913 destroyed the plant. After Peters death in 1924, the company was sold to the Louisiana-Texas Utility Co., and then to Houston Lighting and Power.
Schott & Sons Food Market - In the 1960s and 1970s, this was the location of Schott & Sons Grocery Store.
