Downtown Humble Research Project

The Humble Museum is working on research for future exhibits concerning the downtown Humble area.

We are asking local residents for donations of pictures and documents related to the early history of downtown Humble (1880s - 1970s).  This would be businesses, homes and buildings on Main Street (formerly Barrett Street), Higgins Street, and Granberry Street.

You may donate original documents and photographs, or allow us to make copies (please do not provide copies yourself...allow us to make them to our specifications).

Documents:
We are looking for personal letters, postcards, deeds, and other documents to provide an insight into the history of downtown Humble.
1. Please place original documents in a large manila envelope, and give to the museum staff.
2. Documents will be scanned.  If requested, originals will be returned to you.

Photographs/Images:
We are looking for pictures of the area from the early years up to 1970.  These should be pictures of residents, businesses, homes, churches, etc.
1. Please place original photographs in a large manila envelope, and give to the museum staff.
2. Photographs will be scanned.  If requested, originals will be returned to you.
